*Soft skills are non-technical skills that help solve practical tasks and work together with other people. Soft skills are more important than hard skills in today's world (Study by the Harvard University, the Carnegie Endowment and the Stanford Research Centrer).
We have created an educational course for developing key soft skills in children aged 7-13*
Our Academy will help you solve education-related problems if your child:
Does not want to study, needs the spur, and puts homework off.
Does not know how to cope with emotions: freaks out and cries about everything, is rude, unsociable, whines, blames everyone for his/her problems.
Does everything half-way, is unable to finish things.
Constantly compares themselves with others, envies, gets upset, considers themselves worse than others.
Is addicted to his/her cell phone, unwilling to put it away even when spending time with friends.
Is overly concerned about scores, has a fear of speaking in front of the class or answering incorrectly.
Has difficulty communicating with peers, often conflicts with others or is overly shy.
Is disorganised: does not pack his/her school bag the evening before, loses and forgets things constantly, is frequently late.
Changes you will see in your child’s behaviour after the course
Knows how to argue, and is able to defend his/her point of view.
Knows his/her strength and weaknesses, chooses activities based on this knowledge.
Understands what he/she feels in various situations and is able to cope with emotions.
Feels calm and confident in the class, when communicating with senior pupils and peers.
Ability to take care of himself/herself, do his/her homework independently, be self-organised.
Has self-esteem, is able to take care of and support himself/herself in absence of adults.
Building and practicing necessary skills right in the learning process
Lesson is 90% hands-on
During each lesson we do eyes gymnastics to relax and reduce the load on the eyes.
After classes, we learn to be self-aware, and practice to speak up in public.
During breaks between hands-on exercises we do neuropsychological workouts to activate brain activity.
We create the right environment: when learning in a group, children make friends with interesting peers from other cities and countries.
All lessons are in playful mode making the learning process exciting for the child.
During each lesson we acquire a new skill and start applying it right away in a playful way and using hands-on exercises in a group.
One 60-minute lesson per week

Answers to frequently asked questions
Can we take lessons on a mobile phone?
You can use a mobile phone only as a camera for your desktop computer. This will allow your child to see other children and other children will be able to see your child. The attendance of classes via mobile phones is strictly prohibited – the child will not be able to see other children and won’t feel safe, and what is more – small screens are very harmful for the child’s eyes.
There is only 1 lesson during the trial period of one week. What is scheduled for the rest of the week?
During the week you will be provided with handout materials, lectures, webinars, and practical recommendations from psychologists. You will also have an opportunity to attend a lecture devoted to parent-child relationships.
We are happy with our child’s soft skills, do we still need this course?
Soft skills are a very broad topic. Even if you are happy with your child’s soft skills at the moment, there is always a room for development and improvement; this will help your child to cope with various situations in future and in adult life.
Does distance learning work for children?
Learning in a playful mode in small groups of 5-7 pupils allows maximum engagement of children in the learning process where every child is given attention. We carefully select and specially train our teachers so that they can softly and gently engage even the shyest child.
My child doesn’t like (is too shy for) group learning
Our academy is here to fix this. Your child will learn to work in a team, speak up in public, and acquire many other skills.
My child is too busy, he/she has a lot of workshops and extra classes
That is why we have only one 60-minute lesson per week, to make it comfortable to everyone even if your child’s schedule of additional classes and electives is very tight. I would also like to note that our lessons are in a playful mode and significantly differ from most tutorials.
Is it mandatory to attend the webinars or can I watch the records later?
Lectures with psychologists and webinars will be available in recorded format.
I like everything about your course, but how can I convince my child?
We discuss this question in detail during our parents’ meetings / Talk to you child and tell him/her why you find our course interesting and why do you think that soft skills are useful, offer him/her just to try and attend 1 lesson.
Does this course require my involvement in the education process?
Your involvement in your child’s education at the Ukids Academy is not required. However, you are welcome to take part in this process if you’d like to and if your child feels comfortable to study in your presence.
